Featured Property: The Pelican Lodge - Lake Elementaita

The lake's shores are grazed by zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, elands, families of warthog and various type of wildlife.

During the late Pleistocene and early Holocene, Lake Elementaita Kenya was at times united with and expanded Lake Nakuru, forming a much larger dilute lake. Remnants of the former joined lake are preserved as sediments at various locations around the lake basins, including former shorelines.
Nearby is the Kariandusi Museum, at an important prehistoric site where stone hand-axes and cleavers were discovered in 1928 by Louis Leakey.

Elementeita Badlands is a lava flow to the south of the lake, covered in bush and including some spectacularly scenic peaks.

Located on private land, there are no park or conservation fees in addition to our very competitive rates. On excellent roads it is only 30 minutes to the famous Lake Nakuru National Park Lanet gate and only 10 minutes to Soysambu Conservancy.

Whether its a day, a weekend, a holiday or a long vacation we will put together something that suits your personal taste and preferences. We are dedicated to helping you plan your perfect stay, with the help of expert tour guides, informed advice whether you are a first time or experienced traveler. At Pelican Lodge at Lake Elementaita Kenya we customize each needs to suit the individual's or group's wishes. Whether you are looking for a romantic honeymoon, bush adventure, seeing wildlife, luxury safari or with an adventurous spirit and have your ideas of the holiday you would like, we can offer that and more.
